ISL: David James returns to Kerala Blasters as head coach

first_imgDavid James has returned to Kerala and this time, as the head coach of the Indian Super League (ISL) side Kerala Blasters.The Blasters sacked coach Rene Meulensteen on Tuesday after a string of poor performances from the side this season. Kerala, this season, have managed just one win off seven games.James was a part of Kerala Blasters in the first season of the ISL, where was with the team in the capacity of marquee player-cum-coach. With James at the helm, Kerala reached the final of the tournament where they lost to ATK.ALSO WATCHJames has played for England in 53 matches between 1997 and 2010 and has spent seven years at Liverpool FC from 1992 to 1999, playing 214 matches.”David James arrived in Kochi today and we have appointed him as head coach of Kerala Blasters for the remainder of the ISL.
