COMOX, B.C. – The N.E. B.C. and Yukon Trackers avoided starting their midget provincials 0-2 yesterday as they took on the Vancouver Thunderbirds. The power play was big of the team as it accounted for two of their three goals in a 3-3 draw.The Thunderbirds opened the scoring in the first period and built on that lead in the second as they went up 2-0. The Trackers were able to get back in the game in the later stages of the frame with two goals in a 1:10 span.Vancouver went back in front as play resumed for the final 20 minutes, but the Trackers second power play goal of the game tied the contest to wrap matters up.- Advertisement -Scoring for the N.E.
