Following that, the team will head to Vancouver in preparation for the 2010 Games. That announcement was made Monday afternoon, as Speed Skating Canada named the 16 long track speed skaters that will represent Canada in Vancouver. Morrison will be one of Canada’s leaders, racing the 1000m, 1500m, 5000m and Team Pursuit events. The 24 year-old won a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Games, and is considered one of Canada’s best medal hopes. Denny’s older brother will have to watch Denny from the sidelines again this year, as Jay Morrison was not one of the 16 named to Canada’s olympic roster on Monday. Fort St. John’s Denny Morrison will race in 4 events at the 2010 Olympics.
