Two held in attempt to murder case

first_imgNEW DELHI: Special Cell arrested two wanted accused Abhijeet Malik age 24 years, resident of Nazafgarh, Delhi and Akash Yadav, 26 years, resident of Nazafgarh, Delhi.Both of them were wanted in an attempt-to-murder case of one Daljeet Rana a resident of VPO Ghewra, Delhi at his flat at Ashoka Enclave, Paschim Vihar, Delhi in the night of August 30. Two sophisticated pistols, five live cartridges and the Verna car used in committing the offence was recovered from their possession. About two months ago, Daljeet Rana went to the house of Abhijeet Malik and misbehaved with his family members due to that financial dispute. He also misbehaved with Abhijeet over telephone many times and threatened for dire consequences. Due to this, Abhijeet wanted to teach a lesson to Daljeet. In the evening of August 30, Abhijeet contacted Daljeet and called him at an office at Paschim Vihar. Abhijeet along with his friend Akash Yadav reached at Bhaira Enclave, Paschim Vihar where Daljeet and his friend met them. They all consumed liquor together and from there they went to flat of Daljeet at Ashoka Enclave, Peeragarhi, Delhi. Finding the right time, Abhijeet and his friend Akash took out their pistols to kill Daljeet. Abhijeet fired at the head of Daljeet from close range whereas pistol of Akash didn’t fire due to some glitch. Seeing this, Daljeet’s friend jumped off the balcony of the flat. After that the accused persons fled from the spot in their Verna car and kept hiding in Gurugram, Mukharjee Nagar etc. to evade their arrest.last_img read more
