OnePlus has been lately riding high on the success of the OnePlus 6T. The handset adds a lot of the latest technology trends to the solid foundations of the OnePlus 6, which includes the in-display fingerprint sensor and a bigger battery. However, keeping up with the times, OnePlus also bid farewell to the 3.5mm headphone jack and rolled out a pair of USB-C earphones for users who prefer wired ones over the wireless ones. Until now, the USB-C equipped Bullets were supported for the OnePlus 5 and newer models. Now, the support list grows with new additions.OnePlus has announced a new update for the 3 and 3T models, promising several bug fixes and improvements. The update also brings in the Android November Security Patch from Google, thereby bringing the 2-years-old handset up-to-date with the latest enforcements from Google.However, the primary addition that this update brings is the support for the Type-C Bullets earphones. Up until now, the OnePlus 3 and 3T were only able to route audio via the 3.5mm headphone jack or via Bluetooth. However, users will now be able to plug in the Type-C Bullets for streaming audio. Users will still be able to stream music via old 3.5mm earphones.Do note that OnePlus 3 and 3T users will have to enable OTG mode by digging into Settings > System > OTG Storage. Presently, users will only be able to stream music with the new Bullets and OnePlus will add support for streaming calls with a future OTA update.To recall, OnePlus announced the Type-C Bullets earphones a few months ago for the price of Rs 1,490. The rear optical duties were handled by a 16MP OIS-assisted camera while an 8MP unit looked after the front.
