Loyd Grossman, Chair of the Heritage Alliance, and Emma Kane, Chair of the Barbican Centre Trust gave keynote addresses. A plenary Q&A panel asking “What will fundraising be like in 2040?” also took place.Martin Kaufman, chair of the IoF Cultural Sector Network, said:“The high attendance revealed a strong desire to break down any barriers between arts and heritage organisations and fundraising. Everyone wanted to share knowledge that would strengthen the message to the public about how we could best sustain our cultural life as a key component of a successful UK. The lively engagement from all the delegates told me this is a moment whose time has come.”The IoF’s Cultural Sector Network special interest group was formed in April last year. During the conference, its forward strategy was also presented for the first time.
