Fall Preview Day Sunday at Brock
In the competitive market of post-secondary education, getting prospective students onto campus is one of the most important tasks for university recruiters. For Brock University, the single most important day on the recruiting calendar is Fall Preview Day this Sunday, Nov. 8, when thousands of guests will visit the campus and learn more about what the school has to offer.“Some of our key competitive advantages stem from our spectacular campus setting, modern facilities, and our engaging University community,” says Beth Natale, Director, Recruitment. “Motivating students to visit during Fall Preview Day moves us one critical step closer in the push to forge connections with prospective students and prompt applications.”From noon until 4 p.m., visitors will meet with faculty, staff and current students and tour the campus. There will be a variety of information sessions, as well as an Information Fair in the Ian Beddis Gymnasium, where representatives from nearly every program and service at Brock will be on hand. For potential Humanities students, there will be an information session and tour of the newly-opened Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts in downtown St. Catharines at 10 a.m.“This day is critical to us as it comes right before students will be making their application to university in January. If they have a great experience at Brock, it will likely lead to them adding us as a choice on their application forms,” says Melissa Beamer, Manager, Recruitment Services.NOTE: Guests planning on attending Fall Preview Day should give themselves a few extra minutes to make the trip because of a planned closure of Highway 406 in downtown St. Catharines.
