OBITUARY Barbara Ann Gadman Amidon 75

first_imgWILMINGTON, MA — Barbara Ann (Gadman) Amidon, of Salem, NH, formerly a long-time resident of Wilmington, MA, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 7, 2018.Barbara was born on April 6, 1943 in Boston, MA; she was the cherished daughter of the late Arlene V. (Grant) Belcher and loving sister of the late Arlene Golden. Barbara was raised in Jamaica Plain & Dorchester and graduated from the Trade High School for Girls in Boston. Barbara married “the love of her life” George R. Amidon, Sr. on October 21, 1962; the couple moved to Wilmington in 1964 where they raised their four children, George, Jr., Kevin, Ron and Leasa. Barbara and George, along with their family shared many wonderful years together; they enjoyed trips to Lake Winnipesaukee where they made countless memories with their children.As a young woman, Barbara enjoyed working at Filene’s Basement in Boston. After settling down in Wilmington she worked at Diamond Crystal, Bandwagon but she was the most passionate of her role as a stay at home mom following the birth of her children. She was an excellent seamstress who could whip up anything from an outfit for her children to a simple hem on a pair of pants or button on a shirt.In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed going to the lake house, reading, listening to Elvis, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Barbara got the most enjoyment from being a loving wife, sister, mother, grammie, aunt and friend.Barbara was the beloved wife of the late George R. Amidon, Sr., devoted mother of George R. Amidon, Jr.& his wife Cynthia of Wilmington, Kevin Amidon & his wife Donna of Billerica, Ron Amidon & his wife Lauren of Revere and Leasa (Amidon) Fluet & her husband Marc of Salem, NH and loving “Grammie” of Zachary Amidon, Ashley Amidon, Codey Fluet and Kaitlyn Amidon.Barbara will be fondly remembered as a special woman who was kind, caring and loving; she will be greatly missed by all.At Barbara’s request all services will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, this was one of Barbara’s favorite charities: https://www.stjude.org/give/memorials-and-dedications.html.Barbara Ann (Gadman) Amidon(NOTE: The above obituary is from Nichols Funeral Home.)Like Wilmington Apple on Facebook. The development has left the fans wondering why she walked out of the flick.Now, the actress has explained the reason behind her decision. On her Instagram account, she announced, “Unfortunately due to family circumstances I am unable to participate in filming for this wonderful film. The script is truly brilliant and it’s such a great character, I hope whomever they cast receives as warm a welcome as I have and I wish the production all the best. [sic]”Daisy Edgar Jones, who acted in English TV shows like Outnumbered and Silent Witness, was supposed to romance Jr NTR in the SS Rajamouli’s creation.The makers made the news official on Twitter on Friday, 5 April. “Due to unavoidable circumstances, @DaisyEdgarJones is no longer a part of our film. We hope she has a brilliant future. #RRR. [sic]” the official Twitter handle of the flick announced the news.Ever since it was announced that she was on board for the Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s project, the Telugu cine-goers have treated her well on social media sites and her fan following on social media accounts too saw a massive increase. Meanwhile, the team has wrapped up the latest schedule of shooting in Gujarat and returned home to celebrate Ugadi festival. “Inspite of the set back, we were able to finish the #RRR Gujarat schedule in time… Thanking the people of Dharmaj and Siddhpur for the cooperation and hospitality.. Home for Ugadi…[sic]” SS Rajamouli tweeted about the progress of the multilingual flick.RRR is a mega-budget film produced by DVV Daniah. Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn plays a role with negative shade, while Alia Bhatt will romance Ram Charan in the period drama. The movie is made in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and other Indian languages simultaneously and RRR is common name for all the languages.The film is set to release on July 30, 2020.
